On Thursday, October 2nd the German Club made  Schultueten,  part of the German tradition for the first day of school for a group of B.C. Charles Kindergarteners.  A Schultuete is a decorated cone filled with school supplies given to students in Germany on their first day of Kindergarten.  German Club took these cones  to the kids and taught the kindergarten classes about the German culture -they even learned few words in German!  Then each kindergartener received a Schultuete to take home that afternoon.
