Menchville Students Support Red Cross Blood Drive

Key Club Puts on Blood Drive For Students

Menchville students donated approximately 66 pints of blood on Friday, helping the  Menchville Key Club achieve their goal during the annual Red Cross Blood Drive . Students and faculty were invited to donate their blood for the good of the community and the response was much greater then expected. Once the blood is tested and processed it will be shipped to local hospitals for patients in need.

Coach Zollicoffer and Key Club volunteers provided student with the most comfortable accommodations possible as nurse collected the blood.  From hand-holding to rushing over apple juice and fanning the queasy, student volunteers weren’t afraid to go above and beyond to make sure everything was going smoothly. Complimentary food and a free t-shirt were also given to donors.
