Attention Menchville Monarchs- it’s talent show time!

The third annual Menchville’s Got Talent show will be held Wednesday, March 28th in the school auditorium. Performances will start at 6:30 pm, and admission to the show is $5.

Entrants to the talent show this year represent a wide array of the arts- including singers, actors, bands, and more. Acts will be performed for the audience and judged by a panel of Menchville students and teachers, who will then select the top few acts to compete for the grand prize. These selected acts will then showcase a brief “recap” of their talent before a winner is chosen by audience applause.

Menchville’s talent show is not only an opportunity to see Monarchs showcase their talents and abilities- it’s also a fundraiser for a good cause. Sponsored for three years now by Lead2Feed, all proceeds from Menchville’s Got Talent go towards buying canned food for the Canstructure event, held by the Hampton Roads Youth Volunteer Corps, in April. After the Canstructure competition, all of the food used is donated to the Peninsula Food Bank. Last year’s talent show brought in $780 for food and donations to the food bank- a total that the Lead2Feed club hopes to come close to again.
