Congratulate the members of the Scholastic Bowl team when you see them.  After defeating Gloucester 225-65 in the first match, they fell to Conference 10 champion Warwick in the semi-finals.   Matt Arnold led the scoring against Gloucester with 70 points,  while Miles McAllister(55 points), Aaron Hodges (20 points) and Mary  Arnold (10 points) contributed the additional winning points.

 In the semi-final match,  we played a competitive game against always strong Warwick, but fell 220-185.  Scoring for Menchville in that match were Miles McAllister 70 pts., Matt Arnold 35 pts. and Lewis McAllister 10 pts.  Unfortunately the team quickly fell behind  60-0, but even thought they fought back and outplayed them the Raiders the rest of the match they couldn’t over come Warwick’s early lead.

 Although this competition eliminated the team from the Scholastic Bowl , they are still competitors in the Battle of the Brains tournament.  Next taping for that is in early February.
