The varsity field hockey team won 4-3 yesterday over Nansemond River in the PenSouth Conference Tournament.  The game was played at CNU.   Jenna Harlow and Hannah Struble each scored 1 goal and recorded 1 assist. Janie Towler, goalie, recorded a whopping total of 10 blocks. This win advances the Monarchs into the regional field hockey tournament.  This is only the second time the Lady Monarchs have advanced to regionals in the past 21 years and only the fifth time in the program’s history. The Lady Monarchs will take on the Gloucester Dukes in the Conference final at CNU this evening at 6:30.
