The Fate of the Furious is a 2017 American action film directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Chris Morgan, and is the eighth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise. The film premiered on April 4, 2017 in Berlin, and was theatrically released in the United States on April 14, 2017, playing in 3D, IMAX 3D and 4DX internationally. The film received mixed reviews from critics and has grossed over $552 million worldwide, making it the fourth highest-grossing film of 2017.

Starring in the previous installments as well, cast for the movie includes: Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Ian Shaw (Jason Statham), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris), Cipher (Charlize Theron), Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky).

Having loved the other seven movies, my expectations were high.  The movie was really good and I wouldn’t mind watching it again. Everything about it was perfect, and all of the people in it have very different personalities that mesh amazingly. My favorite actor in the franchise is Vin Diesel because he is a strong actor and he stands out in every movie. However, I definitely felt something was missing without without  Bryan O’Connor (Paul Walker) in the movie.  His presence added a spark to the movies that is irreplaceable. Sadly, Walker passed away in a car accident in 2015. While the movie portrays O’Connor  as being off somewhere, it was hard not to think about his absence while watching.

My favorite part is when the Furious team meets up again as a family. It is the best part, in my opinion, because of the overwhelming happiness that conveys a good ending. The most important moral in these movies is how much family and friends mean, and how you should never leave someone you love behind.

Overall, I would give this movie a 10/10 because of its awesome execution. I recommend teens and adults seeing this because they would definitely enjoy it, however they may want to start from the very beginning.
