“We were the best players.” said Mueller, ” I’m seeking to win a singles conference title and an additional doubles title this year, Menchville has won Conference titles the past three years in a row, we’re going for a fourth.”

Lucas Gray won both of his singles matches. Gray and Bobby Gatz then won their doubles match 8-0.

” I was a little nervous at first, since it was my first match. But I  knew if I played hard I could win” said Gray, “I gotta keep the ball in and move my feet if I wanna go far this season.”

Gray lives by a quote from the 90’s cult classic, Ferris Bueller’s Day off :  ” Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
