This past Friday, the Menchville Boys and Girls Swim teams won first place at the Conference 10 Championship.  With this victory, the Monarchs will move on to the regional tournament February 9^th.

Maddie Morello and Miles McAllister placed first in every race this season, except for a relay or two against one of the tougher competitors – Kecougtan High School. At the Conference, Morello and McAllister led their team in the first legs of their 200 medley relays, speeding their way into first with the boys placing their time at 1:41:24 and the girls placing at 1:51:83. The boys finished with a final score of 490-484 against Kecoughtan, and the girls beat Nansemond River, 537-507.

Do the Monarchs feel confident that they will bring home another state championship this year? McAllister  and Morrello  said “Yes, absolutely” without hesitation.
