Zhymani Smith, the only senior on the Menchville’s girls basketball team scored the 1,000th point of her basketball career January 31, 2017. Many members of Smith’s family were present to cheer her on during the successful moment. Smith has been playing basketball for Menchville for 3 years now.

Scoring the 1,000 points made Smith “feel accomplished, excited and also very proud”. Reaching 1,000 points is a big accomplishment. If Smith could redo the whole entire experience she would.   Because of her love for basketball she says there isn’t just one specific “best part” that she could point out.   She  just likes being able to play the game.
