Menchville’s Spring Guitar Concert

On Tuesday, May 24th, Menchville High Schools Guitar Department put on their final concert of the 2015-2016 school year. Conducted by Pete Mercier, the show included Menchville’s Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Quartet ensembles playing a wide variety of modern and old music. Furthermore, junior Noah Nipp was granted the opportunity to conduct Menchville’s Intermediate ensemble playing his original piece “Green Waltz.”

Solo performances included freshman Sam Cornette performing a jazz piece, and junior Kaitlyn Helsel performing “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley. The show also included a duet performance between teacher Pete Mercier and freshman Sam Cornette.
