Honoring the current and historic NBA greats, the 2022 NBA All Star weekend gave us moments to remember. The 71st All Star game was held on February 20, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. On Friday, Feb. 18, The Ruffles Celebrity game took place. From the all around athleticism to the hilarious bloopers, and the unexpected highlights, the game did not fail to disappoint.

The coaches for the teams were Dominique Wilkins and Bill Walton, both Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers, and members of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Some celebrities from the game included Quavo (rapper, recording artist), Machine Gun Kelly (singer, songwriter), Myles Garrett ( Cleveland Brown defensive end), Jack Harlow (rapper, recording artist), Gianmarco Tamberi (Olympic high jump champion), and many more. 

On Saturday, Feb. 20, The first ever NBA HBCU Classic. The HBCU Classic is when the NBA honors the historically black colleges and universities community throughout the All-Star Weekend in Cleveland. Howard University and Morgan State went head to head. In the end the Bisons went on to make a comeback win 68-66 over the Bears. 

On the following Sunday, the event everyone has been waiting for took place, the 71st All-Star game. The game consists of some of the best players in the NBA. The two team captains this year were Lebron James, 18 All-Star game appearances, and Kevin Durant, 10 All-Star appearances. The game was worth every second of watching. From the dunks, to Stephen Curry scoring 16 3-pointers, totaling to 50 points, and the clutch shots from Lebron. Team Lebron went on to win the game 163-160, be an turnaround jumper from Lebron James at the end.
