“The Little Mermaid” Makes a Splash
The Menchville Players have finished their first week of performances of the spring musical, “The Little Mermaid”- and they’ve certainly made a splash.
This production is an explosion of color, with creative costumes, sets, and fluid lighting that truly make the audience feel like they’re underwater. The Menchville production boasts a strong cast, with a dancing chorus ensemble and lead roles filled by Hailey James and Elena Amundson (Ariel), Ryan Schoenberg (Prince Eric), Nathan Poplin (Sebastian), Alex Swanenburg (Ursula), Joelle Kurten (Scuttle), Crystal Le (Flounder), and Ky’yea Knightnor (King Triton). Every performance has been accompanied by cheers from the audience and echoes of praise, and it’s certainly not hard to see why. The spring production of “The Little Mermaid” is spectacularly fun, and the catchy music will be stuck in your head for days after.
For those who missed the show during opening week- don’t worry! The Menchville Players will hold performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the 25th-27th of April. Each show is at 7 pm in the Menchville auditorium, and tickets are sold for $10 at the door. Make sure to catch this show before it swims away!
*NOTE: a matinee show at 2 pm on Saturday has been added to the schedule
