“The Bye Bye Man” was released to the movie theaters on January 13, 2017. Bye Bye Man is a 2017 American horror thriller film directed by Stacy Title and written by Jonathan Penner. When the first commercial for the film aired on television my initial thoughts were that this movie was going to be really scary because the Bye Bye Man looks really creepy.

The main characters are Elliot (Douglas Smith), his girlfriedn  Sasha (Cressida Bonas) and best friend John (Lucien Laviscount) They move into an off-campus house not far from their college.  But once they move in, strange  things begin to happen.

First, they start to see the Bye Bye Man. Elliot would wake up in the middle of the night and  see him.  The Bye Bye man begins to control their minds and make them see things that aren’t real.  Sasha get sick and begins to confuse Elliot with John.  After each sighting of The Bye Bye Man the characters loose more of their grip on reality. I could not ever determine what the reason for this was.

Overall I would give the movie a 5/10 because it wasn’t good. The ending really made me mad because it was just so weird and confusing. This is one of the worst horror movies I have ever seen.
