Athlete of the week for girl’s field hockey is Junior Sarah Coon.

Sarah set a new Menchville field hockey record for goals scored. On September 26 she scored her 48th goal as a Menchville Monarch. She broke Jordan Snider’s record which was set in 2009.

Sarah said her plan after high school is to “play field hockey for a Division 1 college.”

Who has inspired you or pushed you to be successful?

“Definitely my parents and Coach Kuykendall.”

What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

“Self-motivated, athletic, and sociable.”
