Menchville’s Mary Poppins

Menchville's Mary Poppins

On April 21st-23rd, the Menchville Drama Department will be performing Mary Poppins. The cast and crew have worked tirelessly to ensure that the production will go seamlessly. A new flight system has been installed to perform flying stunts for the show. “It’s really stressful,” says Miranda Russnow, in charge of harnessing the leads. This stress will hopefully lead to an exceptional production. The week before the production, known as Tech Week (or more colloquially, “hell week”), is beyond the usual stress as students involved stay after school until late at night, usually 9:00 or later, perfecting the show. Jessica Wilbur, undertaking the role of Mary Poppins, is excited for her final high school musical. She says, “It’s sentimental knowing this is the last musical I am performing in, but it’s exciting at the same time.” Tickets to the show are $5 for students.
