How to Survive Allergy Season

Pollen and other allergens are at its highest and it can be a nuisance for those who suffer from allergies. It can cause daily life to be annoying and so here are some quick tips for relieving some of those symptoms. Senior Kaylee Boyd says, “Allergy season is the worst, I am constantly sneezing and feel like I have a cold.”
Some simple tips for allergy relief are to wash your hands and body multiple times a day. Pollen gets on people throughout the day and so it is a good idea to take multiple showers to rinse it off as well as washing your hands a lot. Trying not to spend too much outside is also a good idea. Pollen is found outside and it can be a smart choice to limit time outside so you are not constantly outside with all the pollen and allergens. Checking the pollen count before going outside can be a good preventive measure so that you can plan your day accordingly.
Different people tend to react to allergy season in different ways. Senior Amanda Mathis says, “Allergy season affects me, but it always happens after everyone else becomes acclimated to it or later in the season.” Different reactions to allergy season means that it needs to be treated differently. Every person needs to try different methods to help ease the discomfort of allergens and figure out what works for them.
