Kehlani, a 20 year old R&B singer/songwriter is on the rise and on her way to becoming very well known. With her successful album release in April of 2015, she’s definitely climbed up on the charts. You Should Be Here was her first album with Atlantic Records and hopefully there are many more to come.

On January 4, 2016, Kehlani was featured in Forbes magazine on the 30 under 30. The list features young, smart and disruptive entrepreneurs from a variety of fields. She was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Nominations are a big deal when you’re famous. Some of her most famous pieces of work include “The Way” featuring Chance The Rapper and “FWU”. Her most recent single, something that all of her fans have been waiting for, “Did I” released December 17, 2015 and definitely deserves credit.

Kehlani is definitely on my personal list of favorite artist. Her album has been on repeat since it came out. So you can imagine how excited I was to hear a new song. I like how the song is about her success and how she’s come up in the music industry. The lyrics are easy to learn and the song has an amazing beat.
