Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the Menchville Monarchs Basketball team went on to battle the Denbigh Patriots. The Boys Junior Varsity team went on to win 61-23. Throughout the event, it was anybody’s game. Both teams went back and forth with the lead. 

The boy’s varsity team made the game very much one-sided, winning 73-20. Each Monarch made an amazing effort to keep the game in their favor. Coach Strothers allowed some of the Junior Varsity players to play in the game, to show their true potential. 

This differed from the Menchville Monarchs Girls Basketball teams. The Girls Junior Varsity basketball team did not play on Tuesday due to the lack of a Junior Varsity team at Denbigh. The Girl’s varsity team did not play due to COVID-19 on Denbigh’s girl’s varsity team.
