Menchville and Denbigh orchestra students performed on Wednesday, December 10th at 7 pm during  Winter Orchestra Concert. Led by Director Anna Moyer, the Menchville Chamber Orchestra played multiple Christmas songs.  The concert started with Overture to the Messiah and Sleigh Ride performed by Menchville. A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Christmas Song, and Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo 12/24 were songs performed by the joint Menchville-Denbigh Orchestra. A superb violin solo by Senior Regional Orchestra participant Connor Blaire was also featured during The Christmas Song, much to the crowd’s enjoyment. Overall, the concert was an excellent showcase not only of what the Menchville Chamber Orchestra has to offer, but a testament to the musical talents of Newport News high schools’ musicians.
