Top 5 Commercials At The 2021 Superbowl
The Super Bowl is one of the greatest events of the year for most people because viewers get to see the best of the best in football face off for one big, final matchup. But, for me, as well as countless others, the Super Bowl is an opportunity to see what company will steal the show during the legendary commercial breaks. So, without further ado, here are the top five commercials from the 2021 Super Bowl.
5. Door Dash (“The Neighborhood”)- Door Dash brought the nostalgia and star power for this commercial, as Daveed Diggs, known for his work on the groundbreaking musical, “Hamilton”, sang with the stars of Sesame Street as he talked about shopping small and supporting local businesses. It was one of the first commercials shown on the night, and set the bar for what to expect for the rest of the adds.
4. Rocket Mortgage (“Certain is Better”) – Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan shows us the differences between “pretty sure” and “certain” in this fun ad, using examples like “I’m pretty sure these hornets aren’t the murdering type” and “I’m pretty sure these (mushrooms) aren’t poisonous” as he guides a couple while they look for a home that they are certain they can afford.
3. Cheetos (“It Wasn’t Me”) – Enlisting the help of Shaggy, the singer of the 2000’s hit “It Wasn’t Me” and celebrity power couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, this ad shows Mila Kunis running around her home trying to find a place where she can hide and eat her husband’s Cheetos. All the while, she and Ashton Kutcher sing, “It Wasn’t Me”.
2. Uber Eats (“Wayne’s Worlds and Cardi B’s Shameless Manipulation”) – Any commercial featuring Saturday Night Live legends Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey is guaranteed to be a hit. This ad was another one that encouraged viewers to eat local, as the characters Wayne and Garth use subliminal messaging, babies and Cardi B to try to get their point across.
1. General Motors (“No Way Norway”)- Will Ferrell carries this ad, making it easily the best commercial of the night. Between him punching a globe and accidentally ending up in Sweden instead of Norway, this clearly is the best commercial of the big game.
