NNPS Return To Learn
After nearly a year of virtual schooling, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and State Superintendent Dr. James Lane have released a plan and schedule which will see k-12 students finally heading back to in-person school.
According to the current plan, special needs students will be the first to return to their schools, as they will go in Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays starting February 22nd. The remainder of the students will go in to school either Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday, depending on where their last name falls in the alphabet. Students with a last name that starts with any letter A-K will go in on Mondays and Tuesdays while students with a last name beginning with any letter L-Z will go in Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays will still be kept as independent work days. On the days where students are working from home, they will still be expected to join their classes on Zoom, but the exact details of how that will work has not yet been released.
