Wall-E and Eve help end hunger- Lead2Feed participates in Canstruction
Wall-E and Eve are helping Menchville to end hunger! On Saturday, April 27, Menchville’s Lead2Feed team, known as FareShare, participated in the Canstruction event at Patrick Henry Mall.
Following this year’s theme, “Out of this World,” FareShare built Wall-E and Eve, the main characters in Disney Pixar’s Wall-E, completely out of cans of food, construction paper, aluminum foil, cardboard, and tape. This year, they also created a background to contribute to the structure, something never seen before from Menchville at Canstruction.
The team collected over 1383 cans for this event. This raises the total to 2761 cans collected for the year, which will be donated to the Peninsula Food Bank.
