Here’s why you shouldn’t let that fitness resolution slip through the cracks

Monarchs, we’re almost at the end of the first month of the year.  Many of your resolutions may have already fallen by the wayside, but don’t wait for it, here are some reasons why you should work hard to keep that fitness resolution:

  1. Working out helps release stress in the brain, which is helpful since teen brains are full of stress from homework, tests, work, social drama, and other activities.
  2. Working out helps build endurance and strength.
  3. Working out helps tone or shape up muscles; building up a toned body can help raise awareness of your health and help you achieve self-confidence.
  4. Simply walking every day, just for fifteen minutes, changes a person’s physical shape and improves their mental attitude.
  5. Going to the gym can lead to more socialization opportunities where one could meet new people

In the long run, taking care of your body now will help maintain your physical and mental well-being and lead to a good, long life in the future.
