Thor: Ragnarok is a 2017 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to 2011’s Thor and 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and is the seventeenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Thor premiered on November 3, 2017.
The cast for the movie includes: Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hela (Cate Blanchett), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Kong (Taika Waitit), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Heimdall (Idris Elba)
Marvel’s best movie yet – it doesn’t take itself too seriously. The destruction of the Asgardian world probably isn’t meant to be funny, but the film somehow makes it work. The action is great with jokes mixed with a touch of seriousness. Maybe a little long but hugely entertaining. It is way better than the other Thor movies, and probably my favorite movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor: Ragnarok is an action-packed, hilarious, and fun superhero film that manages to provide the qualities that the MCU films are known for.
This movie by far did the best job of getting the best out of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. The relationship between Thor and Loki Hemsworth’s scenes with Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston are both funny and touching. Tom Hiddleston continues to be charming and funny as Loki and there are new characters who added a lot of comedy to the film.
This film was great from start to finish. The action was on point, the comedy was on point, and I quite simply loved it. The plot is excellent, and is finished off nicely at the end. This is the boldest and most outrageously fun film Marvel has yet produced. I love the movie and can’t wait for Avengers : Infinity War!
