Edward Christopher “Ed” Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter. Sheeran first appeared on the TV music show, “Later… with Jools Holland,” where he performed his debut single, “The A Team,” kickstarting his career.  The song entered the UK Singles Chart at number three, selling over 58,000 copies in the first week; and becoming a top 10 hit in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The hit was Sheeran’s first Grammy Award nomination, and was nominated for Best British Single at the 2012 Brit Awards.

This year, Sheeran released an album called Divide, including songs: “Eraser,” “Castle On The Hill,” “Dive,” “Shape Of You,” “Perfect,” “Galway Girl,” “Happier,” “New Man,” “Hearts Don’t Break Around Here,” “What Do I Know?,” “How Would You Feel (Paean),” “Supermarket Flowers,” “Barcelona,” “Bibia Be Ye Ye,” “Nancy Mulligan,” and “Save Myself.”

My favorite song on the album is “Shape Of You” because its is a fun, well-performed and produced song. The song is a perfect mix of Sheeran’s signature guitar strumming, and his brilliant, clever songwriting. His music has a tendency to always be amazing, and never disappoints. He is an outstanding artist and I certainly recommend his music to anyone who may not have taken the time to listen to his work.
