Kehlani Ashley Parrish is an American singer and songwriter. Parrish gives the straight truth about her life, pain, passion, love, triumph, and everything in between in her music with a sense of collected calm and confidence others lack. Her first hit was “You Should Be Here” and it was released on 2016.

My favorite song on the album is Undercover because it’s very upbeat, very catchy and easily gets stuck in your head. My favorite part of the song is when she says, “they don’t wanna see me be happy, cause they ain’t happy.” That part speaks to me because it relays that while people may let you down, you have to get back up and block out the negative.
