I think we can all agree that fall is the best season, especially when it comes to fashion. If you watched New York fashion week this year, you’re already aware of the styles that are going to be trending everywhere. The fall collection was incredible and now that the season is finally here, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all super excited to jump onto the fall fashion trends that are inspired by the pieces at NYFW. Although, if you have no idea what pieces of clothing are trending this year or you’re clueless as to what pieces to buy, no need to panic. I am here to guide you in the right direction so you can look good and be prepared for fall.
The first thing you need in your closet this season is a bomber jacket. Bomber Jackets are everywhere you look, they were featured in a few designers collections this year and you can find them for affordable prices in tons of stores like Forever21, Cotton On and many more.
The most essential (and most obvious) thing you need is a chunky knit sweater. Knit sweaters are perfect for fall and for transitioning into Winter. They’re great because you can just throw them on over leggings or you can layer them and create different styles. Another essential is flannels, at this point you probably already own a few. One tip I can give you on saving money on flannels is to try thrift stores. Instead of paying over $20 for one, you can get flannels for $5 or less at a thrift store and save some money. You can also find tons of sweaters at thrift stores as well.
Lets talk about jeans, distressed denim has been in for a while now and seems to stay trending. They go with everything and are perfect for the fall style. You can’t go wrong with throwing on some boyfriend jeans and a pair of booties for the day. Boots are all the rage in the fall, and this year thigh high boots seem to be the only thing celebrities are wearing. You see Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner and so many fashion icons pairing thigh high boots with dresses. Booties are also a must for fall, you can find affordable boots at Charlotte Russe and JC Penney. Now lastly, for accessories, velvet chokers were all over the runway and everybody seems to be obsessed with the style. Most clothing stores sell them and i’m sure walking down the school hallway, you will see tons of your classmates wearing them. You can get them at almost any clothing store in the mall for a low price. You can’t go wrong with adding these pieces to your closet.
