The Best Shows and Movies To Stream During Quarantine
As 2021 starts, we still find ourselves stuck inside with nothing much to do. While quarantine rules are not as restrictive anymore, we are still spending much more time in the house than usual. Watching movies and binge-watching series has become a popular way of spending our time. New shows and movies have been announced by the studios, networks and streaming services. Here’s a list of what to look forward to in the new year.
“Fate: The Winx Saga” series on Netflix
Friday, January 22. This show is a live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s original Winx Club. The show’s main protagonist is a girl named Bloom and the show explains her life as she learns to control her powers.
“The Forever Purge” (Horror/Action)
July 9th, 2021. This is the fifth and final movie in The Purge series. While the plot of this movie has not been released, each of the movies follows a group of people as they try to survive one night a year that their dystopian government has put into place making all crimes legal for 12 hours.
“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” (Horror/Supernatural horror)
June 4th, 2021. This third movie in the Conjuring series follows another one of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s cases. This case is about a young boy who was killed and the suspect claimed that it was the doing of demonic possession. Will be released in theatres and on HBO Max.
“The Walking Dead” series (second half of season 10)
On AMC Sunday, February 28. 9:00 p.m. The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors as they make their way through a post-apocalyptic world. They are faced with the infected ‘Walkers’ from the beginning but as time continues they also begin to see that people are just as much of a threat. (Spoilers coming up) Before the rise of the pandemic, viewers were left with a cliffhanger of a battle between the whisperers, leading to the end of the whisper’s new leader Beta. Now viewers are left with questions of what will happen at the end of the season.
” To All The Boys: Always And Forever” (teen romantic comedy film)
February 12, 2021. The third movie in the ‘To All The Boys,’ series will show Laura Jean in her senior year of high school having to make the decision of what college she will go to. She is also faced with the possibility of not going to college with Peter.
