Maze of Madness
On October 11 and 12, Menchville’s choir department will be holding their annual Halloween event, the Maze of Madness. The maze takes place in the outdoor learning center and will run from 7pm to 10pm, with a light scare between 7 and 8pm.
To help support Maze of Madness, students can purchase Maze of Madness merchandise from Mrs. Jarrett in room 406. The merchandise includes short sleeve t-shirts at $10, long sleeve t-shirts at $15, and hoodies at $25. The merchandise will come in a dark red color this year and students will be able to choose their size upon purchasing their t-shirt or hoodie.
“The maze honestly has had a huge improvement,” says Junior Lea Hansen. “While it competes against dates of Howl-O-Scream, this is a very local and inexpensive maze that features a few of the elements that Busch has. The themes are also very new this year, such as stranger things and supernatural, which keeps people up to date and knowing of all the characters and improv lines. The new scares are [still] very much a secret until you explore the maze, but they are worth it in every way. The choir department has put their blood, sweat, and tears into this maze and we are really excited for our opening day.”
For those interested in attending Maze of Madness this year, tickets are being sold for $5 when bought in advance from a choir student or at the Menchville Music Department’s website. However, tickets can also be purchased at the door on the night of Maze of Madness for $10.
