Menchville Rocks 2019- Crystal Le
Freshman Crystal Le is excited for her first performance at Menchville Rocks, and she’s bringing her own unique style to the show.
Le has been practicing the guitar since Kindergarten, but she truly dedicated herself to the instrument this past August. Le enjoys singing and playing an indie alternative style. “My music inspires people. It makes them happy and calm, and it makes them want to listen to me more,” says Le. She plans to perform “Can’t help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, along with two original songs- one currently unnamed piece and one titled “Empty Words.”
Le has become somewhat accustomed to performing. During her time at Gildersleeve Middle School, Le performed in Beauty and the Beast and High School Musical. When asked why she chose to enter Menchville Rocks, she explained “I wanted more people in the school to hear my music, and it gives me a chance to really be open with more people.”
Le is nervous for her performance, but also excited- “With “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” I like how my voice goes with it. I have my own twist on it, so it’s not like everybody else.”
To see Crystal Le in her debut Menchville performance, come out and support Menchville Rocks on Thursday, February 28 at 6:30 in the Menchville auditorium.
