The annual Menchville Valentine’s Day Love Poem Contest has once again concluded and a winner has been picked. Jayla McCoy won the 2018 Love Poem Contest by one vote for her piece, “Socks,” about appreciation for the unspoken heroes of footwear. In celebration of Valentine’s Day and the conclusion of the contest, the staff here at the Lion’s Roar have gathered some of our favorite poems from past years of the love poem contest to share with readers.
