Moana was released to the movie theaters on November 23, 2016. My thoughts were that this movie was going to be really good because I love Disney movies! When the first commercial for the film aired on television I was really excited because John Musker is the director and he always make great animation movies. My favorite movies from him are “The little mermaid”, “Aladdin”, and “Hercules”. Moana interested me because it received very good reviews.

In the movie Moana Waialiki (Auli’i Cravalho), is the daughter and heir of a chief on the small Polynesian island of Motunui. Her father, Cheif Tui (Temuera Morrison) takes cares of everything around the village and he provides for the food and shelter. One day the fish become scarce, coconuts begin to spoil and island’s vegetation begins to die. Moana wants to go to the reef to find more fish but her father won’t let her go because he is afraid of the ocean.

She meets Muai (Dwayne Johnson), a legendary shapeshifting demigod, and they team up because they need to come up with a plan to put the island back to normal.  They became good friends as they work together to solve the problem.

Overall, I would give this movie a 9/10 because the movie was really good and I enjoyed seeing it with my sisters. I recommend seeing this movie If you have younger siblings because they will love it!
